GET INVOLVED – Volunteer for The Montreal Millennium Summit

2009 Conference

Through such initiatives as the development of solid partnerships, the 2009 Montreal Millennium Summit established itself as an important international event. Because the Summit is now held in the spring, the fall 2008 event was postponed until spring of the following year. The 2009 Summit, which was recognized by the UN, garnered extensive media visibility.

Youth Forum

The Youth Forum had put together 500 young people and several inspiring speakers and leaders from around the world. Agenda items, developed in partnership with Club 2/3,  included knowledge-sharing and real experiences relating to Millennium Development Goals, the status of the world’s most disadvantaged people, and resources youth can use for bringing positive change.

The objective was to come together to learn, to draw inspiration, to empower—and to take action!
